How it all started
Baileys is the longest established Estate Agency in East Wittering. Baileys was founded in 1985 by Kevin Bailey, who had been managing another agency in the village since 1977. With an aim of finding a better way of running an agency, Kevin dreamt of moving away from the corporate one size fits all model.
From day one, we have wanted to make holiday rentals a key part of our business. Luckily West Sussex was blessed with beautiful beaches and stunning countryside but there were simply not enough quality places to stay. Other than a handful of self-catering options most visitors stayed at holiday camps or caravan parks.
So, Baileys created a department specialising in holiday rentals and the demand was been huge. As our portfolio grew, so did the variety of accommodation we could offer, ranging from seafront flats, converted railway carriages, cosy cottages to large beachfront properties and substantial houses on private estates.
Over the last 35 years, we have been offering a very personal service to our many guests and always look forward to catching up each year with old friends who regularly visit to get their fix of the Witterings. As well as Kevin the friendly and conscientious holiday rentals team includes Kim, Angela and Pamela. Our unrivalled experience and local knowledge had helped us build a fantastic bond with clients and guests alike. We’re proud that so much of our business has come from recommendations.
